In a change from amusing street furniture stories that have made the headlines, Townscape has made the headlines! Our solar bollards, counter terror blocksand the newest addition to the Townscape family, graphic concrete, have all had their moment in the spotlight recently.
Graphic concrete is a genuine innovation. The process allows artwork or photographs to be imprinted in concrete as an etching just scratching the surface, and can go as deep as to expose the aggregates beneath. The finished product can then be showcased in a variety of public spaces such as hospitals, schools and colleges and transport hubs.
Our announcement on the launch of graphic concrete in the UK, along with details of our first project completion in Kirkby-in-Ashfield – a 40-metre art wall – has been featured in Public Sector Build Journal, Landscpape & Amenity and Landscape & Urban Design. Our work has been described as pioneering, robust and visually enhancing – praise indeed!
In other product news, Security News Desk and Perimeter Security Suppliers Association featured our installation of 20 counter terror blocks at Birmingham New Street Station, whilst our solar powered bollards were featured in Campus Estate.
